taj mahalRecently I became interested in hearing about how Indian MTs feel about their jobs by now.  Raj writes a blog back in 2012 and folks are still weighing in up until one month ago.  See what they're saying about being a medical transcriptionist in India.  The title of the article might tip you off, "Awful Prospects for Medical Transcription Career in India."  If these large companies can't keep this population happy, it seems it will affect their offshoring party.  What do you think?

Of course, the MTs in India are being exploited too. Their rates are not going up (they can’t get lower than that either). There are quite a few MTs from India that have signed the following petition: https://www.change.org/p/nuance-mmodal-imedx-et-al-stop-the-hidden-exploitation-of-home-based-medical-transcriptionists-in-mt-services-mtso?source_location=minibar. Though this petition was created for Canadian and US MTs, the MTs of India are also chiming in stating they are being similarly affected.
